Household Personal Financial Manager

A transactional finance database and analytics app that unifies accounts, budgets, and net worth — queryable by external LLMs via MCP.

Household Personal Financial Manager

Built as a proper transactional database rather than a spreadsheet, this app ingests account and market data, reconciles it against open datasets like ABS benchmarks, and rolls it up into net worth, budget-envelope, and net-position views. An MCP server sits in front of the same data so external LLM clients — including on mobile — can query household finances conversationally without opening the app. A one-click masking mode blurs every dollar figure for screen-sharing.

Role

Solo build: schema design, ETL/analytics, front end, and MCP server — orchestrated end-to-end with Claude.

Outcomes
  • Net worth, budgets, and live stock positions tracked across five asset classes against loans and credit balances.
  • Exposed via an MCP server, so any MCP-aware LLM client can query balances and spending on the go.
